Welcome to MiWorld at Avertra! It’s a delightful world, where we tackle the utility and energy industry’s biggest challenges and bridge the gap between consumer satisfaction and experience.
There’s a lot of work to be done, but first, let’s get to know each other.
Who is Avertra?
Founded in 2007, we’re a technology development and consulting company focused on the energy and utility industry. Our U.S. headquarters is located in Herndon, Virginia, but with offices across the globe, we have mastered the art of staying connected on an international scale.
Throughout our support roles, we have come across many non-user friendly solutions, and have taken strides into building our solutions to not only reduce execution time for the user, but also be inspired by other industry leading user-friendly applications to make the overall user experience the best it possibly can be.
In 2012, we started to develop our MiUtility™ platform. We put in over 200,000 man-hours of research and development, and counting to make our platform! (but more on that later)
We, as consumers, live in an increasingly digital, always-on world. We aim to have all our experiences customized and available at our fingertips – Our utilities are no exception. We want to fix that.

MiUtility™ is built to enhance the framework of the customer life-cycle; from new construction to paying your bills, and from meter reads to billing to customer payment.
The MiUtility Suite is customized to your business’ needs and maximizes your customer satisfaction while eliminating unnecessary operating costs. All of this is housed within MiUtility’s portal and mobile app. We use apps for just about everything in our day to day lives, so why not pay bills and control accounts at the push of a button too?
